The 'See the Future' card allows you to see the next three cards in the deck.

The Shuffle card lets you shuffle the deck.

The Skip card lets you skip your turn without drawing a card.

The 'Double slap' and 'Triple slap' cards forces anyone playing to take two or three turns in a row.

The Attack card forces the next player to go twice, and you don't need to draw a card at the end of your turn.

The Nope card can be used any time during the game to stop any action except against an Exploding Kitten or a Defuse card.

The Favor card means the person who played the card picks any opponent to give them a card of the opponent's choice.

When you use a Defuse card you get to put the Exploding Kitten anywhere in the deck.

The Exploding Kitten card makes you eliminated immediately unless you use a defuse card.

However, my dad still thought a Nope can be used since I hadn’t yet changed the order of the cards.Know what the cards mean as you draw them: The instructions of an “ Alter the future” card starts by saying “ privately view.” Since I had looked at the three cards, I have already permanently changed the game, and there’s no way for me to undo that, despite me not fully completing the instructions of the card. I assumed it means that once a player has begun an instruction of the card, a Nope is no longer allowed. You can play a Nope card at any time before an action has begun, even if it’s not your turn. You can also play a Nope on another Nope to negate it and create a Yup, and so on. Imagine that any card (or Pair or Special Combo) beneath a Nope card no longer exists.

However, my dad’s interpretation of the rules was that a Nope can be used up until the point the card actions have finished executing. It was my understanding that a Nope cannot be used after you have started doing what the card’s instructions state. Am I prevented from changing the order of 3 cards despite me being able to view them, or is the Nope card no longer to be used? We weren’t sure if the rules still allowed the Nope to be used. Then, after I see the top 3 cards, my dad uses a Nope card. I grab the deck in my hand and I peak at the top 3 cards. It’s my turn, and I play an “Alter the Future” Card.

We ran into a confusing scenario while playing that left us stuck and we would love an explanation! Hey everybody! I have a specific question on how the Nope card is allowed to be used.
